Also its climate is exceptional, with rains that reach the highest pluviometric rates in the whole of Spain, and with winters which are so cold that even the roofs are covered with snow. In handicrafts, the "blankets of Grazalema" of pure wool are famous. Also its cheeses, cold cuts and confectionary are produced in a traditional fashion. The tourist attractions of Grazalema are numerous, where from you can make excursions to very beautiful places: to the source of the Guadalete river; to the fir tree forest; to the Gorge chapel. Mountain-climbing on peaks which exceed 1,500 meters of altitude. Also, hang-gliding, using the platform of Puerto de las Palomas to initiate the gliding; or speleology in the numerous caves of its surroundings. It is, all in all, a real paradise for sports and nature lovers. |
