With a mild climate, Ageciras is bathed on the banks of a beautiful Bay which carries its name and which closes in the East with the Rock of Gibraltar. Opposite the city the Straits of Gibraltar and the African coast can be seen.
It is a city with good connections. It is half way along the N-340 motorway, between the capital of the Sun Coast and Cadiz. It is a terminus for the railway with which it has a direct link to Madrid. As well as being wonderfully connected to Morocco and Ceuta, there are sea links with Barcelona, Italy, Portugal and South America
